Soho House Chicago to open August 11

Soho House Chicago, the newest hotel and members club from the London-born Soho House Group announces the opening of the property on Monday, August 11.

Located just north of the intersection of W. Randolph and N. Green Streets in the West Loop, Soho House Chicago is housed in a six-floor historic warehouse dating back to 1907, the original manufacturing center of the Chicago Belting Factory.

Established in London in 1995, Soho House originated as a private members’ club for those in the film, media, and creative industries. The group has gradually expanded its offerings to include restaurants, cinemas, spas, and hotels. Soho House Chicago marks the group’s fifth location in North America, joining New York, Miami Beach, West Hollywood and Toronto.

Unique to the Chicago property are the many public-facing areas that locals and visitors can appreciate year-round. Located on the lobby and mezzanine levels, these spaces include:

  • The Allis, a social gathering hub for the neighborhood, featuring a lounge area for meetings and cocktails and an all-day café for coffee, smoothies, pastries, salads, and more.
  • The House’s two restaurants, Pizza East and Chicken Shop, located just above the lobby to the north and south, with al fresco dining available on Green Street.
  • Cowshed spa, the brand’s first public-facing location in the US, with five spacious treatment rooms, six cozy mani-pedi chairs, and a retail shop.
