Ronald J. Hunter named GM Embassy Suites Raleigh-Crabtree

Hilton Worldwide announced the appointment of Ronald J. Hunter as general manager of Embassy Suites Raleigh-Crabtree North Carolina, nestled on a wooded hill near downtown Raleigh and across from Crabtree Valley Mall, effective immediately.  Hunter will direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of this all-suite hotel just ten miles from Raleigh-Durham Airport. 

Dedicated and award winning general manager, Hunter is familiar with North Carolina having attended North Carolina Central University and chairing the Durham Convention & Visitors Bureau for three terms during service from 1996 to 2014.

He joins the Embassy Suites team after recently consulting at Research Triangle Park (RTP) Foundation in Durham and directing all aspects of operation of a full service hotel with just under 200 guestrooms. From 1972 to 2013, he held several positions at Governors Inn, Radisson Hotel RTP including hotel manager and general manager a position he held for 18 years. 

Hunter was the recipient of two “General Manager of the Year” awards in 2000 and 2003 as well as led his team to 14 consecutive President’s Award from Radisson hotels. He has served on several boards including NCCU School of Business, SKAL International, NCCU Hospitality & Tourism Advisory Board and Durham Convention & Visitors Bureau.
