Greg Ward joins Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts as VP Sales

Hong Kong-based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has announced the appointment of Greg Ward as vice president – sales, where he will be responsible for the sales and marketing in Europe.

Prior to this appointment, Greg was group sales and marketing director at the private investment holding company, TDA Capital.

Greg brings to Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts an extensive international background with an emphasis on luxury sales and marketing. Having trained in the United States with Omni Hotels & Resorts, he then went onto specialise in the luxury hospitality sector in London, where he has remained for the past 20 years. During his career, Greg has also held senior positions at Westin Hotels & Resort, Rafael Hotels, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and the von Essen Hotel Collection.

Hong Kong-based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts currently owns and/or manages more than 80 hotels under the Shangri-La brand with a room inventory of over 34,000. The group has a substantial development pipeline with upcoming projects in mainland China, India, Mongolia, Myanmar, Philippines, Qatar, Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates.
