Two new chefs at Orlando World Center Marriott

Brian Stalters_2Orlando World Center Marriott is proud to announce the addition of two new chefs to its distinguished culinary team with the appointments of Brian “Butta” Stalters as Executive Banquet Chef and Alexia “Lexi” Gawlak as Chef de Cuisine at Siro: Urban Italian Kitchen.

With years of experience in the food and beverage industry, Chef Stalters and Chef Gawlak bring international insights and exquisite flavors to the world-class venue that has developed an excellent reputation as a leader in the global hospitality space by working in total harmony to anticipate the needs of guests and exceed expectations.

Chef Stalters carries more than 10 years of culinary expertise to Orlando World Center Marriott, having worked extensively with first-rate chefs, gaining top-notch perspective at notable establishments including Brickton at Chicago Marriott O’Hare, Doral Resort & Spa in Miami, overseeing 11 food venues, vast outdoor event spaces and the famed Members PGA Golf Club, as well as a seven-year stint at The JW Marriott and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel at Grande Lakes in Orlando. Additionally, Stalters’ background includes a Bachelors of Science in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University.

Lexie Gawlak_2Chef Gawlak joins the hotel as the Chef de Cuisine for Siro: Urban Italian Kitchen. A graduate of The Culinary Institute of America in New York, Chef Gawlak trained in various kitchens from New York to Florida, most notably in the Orlando area’s top kitchens, including Primo, Luma on Park and The Ravenous Pig. She comes to Orlando World Center Marriott after nearly five years at Whole Foods, where she held the position of receiving manager. Chef Gawlak possesses a keen eye for artfully composed plates, the freshest ingredients and beautiful micro-local product which makes Siro the place to be.
