Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has announced the appointment of a new Director of Marketing Communications for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Huda Malhas.
Huda moves to her new role at the Corporate Office in Dubai from Lebanon where she held the position of Director of Marketing and Sales at Four Seasons Hotel Beirut for five years.
Huda joined Four Seasons a decade ago, in early 2004, when she took on the position of Director of Catering at the then newly-opened Four Seasons Hotel Amman in Jordan.
In March of 2007, Huda was promoted from Catering to Director of Marketing, strategically elevating the business’ financial performance and developing the hotel’s future leaders, particularly in Sales, Catering and Revenue Management.
In May of 2009, Huda transferred to Beirut as one of the first members of the planning committee and worked alongside the General Manager to successfully launch a hotel of strategic importance within the Pan-Arab Market. In addition to overseeing sales, marketing, reservations, catering and revenue management, Huda was also responsible for management of the hotel’s spa.
During Huda’s tenure, despite a challenging political and business environment, she and her team successfully maintained the hotel’s leadership position in the market.
“Huda brings her experience as a seasoned hotelier and proven operations and marketing track record to her new role. EMEA is one of our most exciting from a growth perspective and Huda’s indepth understanding of the region will be a tremendous asset to the marketing communications efforts in support of new and existing properties,” said David Crowl, Vice President Sales and Marketing, EMEA at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
Huda has played a central role in various special projects including the pre-opening of the Four Seasons Hotel Lion Palace St. Petersburg. She also assisted in the development of the marketing communications strategy for upcoming projects in Moscow and Johannesburg and is expected to play a crucial role in the launch of the much-anticipated Four Seasons properties in Dubai and Bahrain.
