IHG signs its first Holiday Inn hotel in Belarus

Holiday_Inn_LogoInterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the signing of the first Holiday Inn hotel in Belarus: Holiday Inn Minsk.  Due to open in 2016, the new build property will operate under a franchise agreement with Hospitality Group LLC.

The 205-room hotel will feature nine suites, a gym, parking for 35 vehicles, four meeting rooms and breakout rooms, and a restaurant and lounge area. The hotel’s design, including the brand’s signature Open Lobby, creates an atmosphere that is warm and welcoming for guests.

Occupying a prime city centre spot in Belarus’s capital, the hotel is located near a number of government offices and company headquarters, making it easily accessible for both business and leisure travellers frequenting the city.

Aron Libinson, Associate Vice President for Development, Russia, CIS and Georgia commented: “The Holiday Inn brand has celebrated many firsts through the years. From the first hotel to let Kids Stay and Eat Free, to the $1 billion US global refresh of our hotels; so we’re delighted to be announcing the first Holiday Inn hotel in Belarus. It’s the most recognised hotel brand in the world and continues to appeal to both owners and guests wanting a quality yet comfortable internationally branded hotel. We’re looking forward to working with Hospitality Group LLC on this exciting new development.”
