Radisson Hotel Barra opens in Rio de Janeiro

Radisson_Barra-300x178Radisson has announced the opening of Radisson Hotel Barra, Rio de Janeiro. The hotel is located on the seven mile Barra da Tijuca beach in the Barra region of Rio de Janeiro.

“As part of our strategic partnership with Atlantica Hotels International, the opening of this hotel reinforces our position as the leading international upscale hotel brand in Brazil,” said Javier Rosenberg, chief operating officer, Radisson. “We are excited about this expansion in anticipation of the upcoming World Cup as well as the Olympic games in 2016 and are pleased to welcome a hotel that is perfect for both business and leisure guests.”

The hotel offers 196 ample guestrooms and 96 suites each with balconies and most feature ocean views.  On site dining is available at Dom Rosso which serves international cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as the pool bar, Palmeiras which offers a variety of food and beverage options. A bar located in the hotel’s lobby provides an additional option for beverages.

Villa Spa is the hotel’s spa providing an array of treatments and therapies. The spa offers dry and steam saunas, locker rooms, hot tubs and bungalows that ensure comfort and privacy. A fully equipped fitness center and squash court is also available to guests on site.

The hotel also has 11,960 square feet of flexible meeting and event space. A dedicated meeting manager is on staff to assist in the planning and catering of a wide range of events from social functions to business meetings.
