New Hampton Inn & Suites opens in Delaware

Hampton Hotels has announced the official opening of its newest property, the 136-room Hampton Inn & Suites Wilmington Christiana, located at 1008 Old Churchmans Road in Newark.

“Business and leisure travelers visiting Wilmington will appreciate the central location of the new Hampton Inn & Suites Wilmington Christiana,” said Steven Smolenski, general manager. “With access to Philadelphia International Airport and Baltimore/Washington International and a myriad of recreational and dining options, the hotel is well situated to take advantage of the thriving, Mid-Atlantic business resurgence.”

The hotel is owned by a joint venture between the Buccini/Pollin Group and RockBridge Capital. The hotel is managed by PM Hospitality Strategies, Inc. (PMHS). The property, which is Green Certified by the state of Delaware, is the sixth Hampton hotel in the state.

Just off I-95, Hampton Inn & Suites Wilmington Christiana is close in proximity to Fortune 500 companies and the University of Delaware. Nearby recreational activities include tax free shopping at the Christiana Mall, golf or tennis at the Deerfield Golf & Tennis Club, and horseracing at Delaware Park Racetrack. For dining options, guests can take a stroll along the Wilmington Riverfront where they will find dozens of restaurants.
