Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu has welcomed their newly-appointed General Manager, Nishan Silva to their hotel. A Sri Lankan National, Mr. Silva steps in for the former General Manager, Lyle Lewis.
Mr. Silva brings to the position more than 20 years of experience with the hospitality industry, 18 of which have been spent with the Hilton Worldwide. Throughout his career as a hotelier, he has held various functions at some of the luxury brand’s most award-winning properties around the world – Malaysia, Maldives, Sri Lanka and India.
Prior to this tenure, Nishan Silva was the General Manager of Radisson Blu Hotel Hyderabad in India for two years where his brand of leadership garnered multiple accolades for the hotel, including Best Five Star New Entrepreneur Award 2013 by Indian Hospitality Awards, Best Business Hotel 2013 – Safari India, Deluxe Hotel of the Year 2012- 2013 by Golden Star Awards, India and Best New Business Hotel of 2012 – By Hospitality India Magazine, New Delhi.
He earned his Hotel Management diploma at the International Hotel Management Institute in Lucerne, Switzerland and Master of Business Administration at the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom.
Previously, Mr. Silva was part of the Hilton International Pre-opening Task Force who opened the Hilton Mactan Resort in 2004. With his wealth of experience in hotel management and passion for innovation, Nishan Silva has returned to Cebu to strengthen Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu’s position as the leading Business Hotel in Cebu.
