Mary Jo Ferrazza Director of Experience at W Marriott San Antonio Resort

JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa has appointed Mary Jo Ferrazza as the resort’s director of experience. Ferrazza is responsible for overseeing the San Antonio resort’s leisure activities, including operations of the 6-acre River Bluff Water Experience and Lantana Spa. Her goal is to provide unique and original recreation that relaxes, rejuvenates, and energizes all visitors to this Texas Hill Country resort.

Building on her event knowledge, Ferrazza is transforming JW Marriott San Antonio’s activities into on-site events that become part of each guest’s traditions and memories. From ballet lessons and barre classes, to organic garden tours and PGA TOUR Academy junior golf camps, guests can partake in activities that will introduce them to new interests or delve deeper into hobbies they already love.

New to the San Antonio resort’s Range Rider Kids’ Club this summer is an exclusive partnership with the San Antonio Metropolitan Ballet Company offering a Prima Ballerina Day for junior resort guests. Led by company choreographer Karin Connolly, this special package includes a tutu, tiara, wand and ballet slipper socks. The experience will include floor stretches, basic barre exercises and a short dance that will be taught for parent demonstration.

For the health conscious, there are new complimentary exercise classes including Booty Barre. A certified instructor will guide guests through this latest trend in group exercise, designed to be the perfect combination of strength and flexibility exercises with added cardio to burn fat fast. For the sport enthusiast, the Get Golf Fit exercise class will be offered this fall and is led by a certified Golf Fitness specialist and designed specifically to improve consistency and distance and lower scores.
