Tavros appoints Kemal Arif as Chief Investment Officer and Head of Business Development

Kemal Arif_2Tavros Investment Holding has announced an experienced name, Kemal Arif, as its new Chief Investment Officer and Head of Business Development.

Bringing expertise in managing complex business development operations and investment opportunities in the real estate and tourism industries, Kemal started his career in London, at Merill Lynch Investment Bank in 2008. He has also worked at Hyde Park Hedge Fund and Morgan Capital Partners following Merill Lynch.

Immediately prior to joining Tavros Investment Holding, Kemal spent 3 years with Doyen Group of Companies which he co-founded. There he worked with various industries such as investment andtrade in natural resources, real estate development and sports investment.

During his graduate study in Koç University, Department of Business Administration in 2005, he spent one year in Ecole de Management, Bordeaux, France. In 2006, he continued his undergraduate studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science, graduating in 2007.

After his graduate studies, he completed his master’s degree at Webster University in St. Louis Missouri, USA in 2010 with an honors degree. He speaks fluent Russian, Turkish, English and French.

Tavros Investment Holding – formerly Bosphorus Hospitality & Investment – has conducted significant operations in the real-estate and tourism industry. Tavros has signed agreements with Hyatt International LLC and Dedeman Hotels & Resorts International. With a corporate objective of “developing and building major and distinctive projects,” Tavros has three hotels currently operating: Dedeman Park Denizli in Turkey, Dedeman Oskemen Tavros in Kazakhstan, and Dedeman Silk Road Tashkent in Uzbekistan.

The new projects include Samsun Tavros Hotel (opening August 2014), Hyatt Regency Atakoy & The Residence Tavros – Istanbul (opening August 2014), Hyatt Regency Almaty & The Residence Tavros – Kazakhstan (opening 2015), Kaliningrad Tavros Otel and Krasnodar Tavros Mixed-Use Project – Russia (opening 2015), Oskemen Tavros Center in Kazakhstan (opening 2016).
