PPHE Hotel Group Limited, owner and operator of primarily full service upscale and lifestyle hotels including Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts in Europe, art’otel and Arenaturist, today announced its partnership with Viggo, a cloud-based media services provider in the hospitality sector to further enhance its guest experience with a number of Wi-Fi and television-based products across its Berlin hotels.
Available to guests across Berlin, Germany, a rich and personalised experience will be rolled-out in the form of a smart screen through the in-room televisions on which guests can surf the web or check email, communicate with hotel team members in a selection of languages, a concierge perspective on local recommendations and much more. art’otel and Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts initially offers Viggo in four of its Berlin locations and will roll out the Viggo experience in the art’otel budapest in May 2014.

The Viggo system runs on an Android platform and is compatible with all existing televisions. art’otels can brand the ‘look and feel’ of their in-room television screens and use Viggo’s user friendly Content Management System to easily select and manage content that will appear on hotel television screens, from local recommendations to promotions of hotel services through announcements for a specific group of rooms to online games and applications.
