Data Analysis Reveals Hotels with Best Online Reputation

A new analysis by ReviewPro of more than 100,000 guest reviews of Singapore hotels reveals that consumers give top scores to The Forest by Wangz, ranking it ahead of internationally known luxury chain hotels such as Marriott International's Ritz-Carlton, Raffles, Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons, Conrad by Hilton Worldwide and Pan Pacific.

This analysis ranks hotels by their Global Review IndexTM, the general online reputation score for an individual hotel, group of hotels or chain developed by Barcelona-based ReviewPro.

At No. 1, the five-star The Forest by Wangz hotel, with a GRITM of 96.3%, boasts contemporary design inspired by the lush Malaysian rainforest. The hotel's amenities include an outdoor pool, free parking and free Wi-Fi access. This year, it won a prestigious TripAdvisor "Travelers' Choice" Award. Online guests also rated The Forest No.1 for cleanliness and service, according to ReviewPro's review data analysis.

At No. 2, The Fullerton Bay Hotel (93.3%) is located on the city's picturesque Marina Bay and also scores No. 2 for room quality.

Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Orchard ranks at No.3 with a GRI of 92.1% and comes in at No.1 for location on the departmental index with an unbeatable 100% score. This just goes to show that, despite lower levels of overall satisfaction, many hotels often score highly for their individual merits in specific service areas. It is also No. 1 in terms of value.

Singapore's hotel guests used a wide-ranging selection of OTAs to complete their bookings. The top-used website is Booking.com and at No.2, Tripadvisor. Agoda, Expedia and hotels.com were also in the top 5.

When it comes to analyzing specific review language, Singapore hotel guests were impressed by concepts such as "fast," "modern" and "location," while typical city concerns such as "noise," "smell" and "lift" were the greatest points of complaint.
