Hyatt Set to Debut New All-Inclusive Adults Only, Family Brands

By Claudette Covey

Hyatt Hotels Corporation, which in July announced plans to enter the all-inclusive market, said that it will feature two all-inclusive brands, including Zilara for adults only and Ziva for families.

The Royal Cancún and Barceló Los Cabos will reopen as the Hyatt Zilara Cancún and Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos in the first quarter of next year. Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall, Jamaica, formerly the Ritz Carlton Golf Resort & Spa, Rose Hall, Jamaica will open in early 2014. All properties will be thoroughly renovated before they open as Hyatt-branded resorts. Three more resorts are scheduled to open later next year and in 2015.

"We are excited to add two brands that will help to create another way for our guests to experience Hyatt," said Chris Walker, vice president, brand experience for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts. "We are currently working with guests, especially our Hyatt Gold Passport members, to design a differentiated all-inclusive experience. We look forward to infusing Hyatt's authentic hospitality, meetings and event acumen and food and beverage expertise into these brands."

Earlier in August Hyatt closed on its investment in Playa Hotels & Resorts, which develops all-inclusive resorts. The affiliation will also enable Hyatt to expand into the Caribbean and Latin America, where Playa is a major player.
