Resort launches philanthropic TripAdvisor campaign

LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort, a Noble House Resort located on the Naples beachfront, has announced a new campaign to support local causes using the travel review website, TripAdvisor. Beginning in the New Year, the resort promises to donate $10 to a select local charity for every TripAdvisor review posted by a guest. The beneficiary will rotate quarterly – though all will be located in the Naples region.

LaPlaya’s TripAdvisor campaign will launch on January 1, 2017 and the beneficiary in the first quarter will be the Estuary Conservation Association, Inc. (ECA).  The second quarter beneficiary will focus on benefiting children; the third quarter benefiting a health organization; and the fourth quarter is yet to be determined.

“This campaign will be a fantastic way to give back to great local causes while promoting reviews at the same time,” said Marco Perry, managing director of LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort.  “Based on our commitment of giving back to the local Naples community, we’re providing our guests the incredible opportunity to donate without having to take out their wallets.  The campaign will be a win-win for everyone.”

Established in 2005, the ECA – the campaign’s first quarter beneficiary, which is based in Naples – is the only non-profit organization dedicated solely to the conservation of the Cocohatchee River Estuary and Wiggins Pass Inlet.  The ECA’s membership includes local residents, boaters, and outdoor enthusiasts who volunteer to support ECA’s mission of community education, science and restoration, and navigational safety.

“We’re thrilled to be the chosen organization for the first leg of this campaign,” said Alan Ritchie, a long-time volunteer president of the Estuary Conservation Association, Inc.  “We’re huge fans of LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort and greatly appreciate their efforts to support the health of the Cocohatchee River Estuary. We are passionate about protecting the estuary and delighted that the team at LaPlaya shares our commitment.”
