General Manager Laurens Zieren of the New York Hilton Midtown has embarked on a year-long Instagram  journey with a new unofficial title: Chief Recognition Officer.

Overseeing daily operations of one of the largest hotels in New York City, Zieren’s unique “management-by-walking” style, gives him an unparalleled view into the hotel’s many departments, from laundry to F&B.

Every day, for 365 consecutive days, Zieren will choose a different hotel employee – focusing on those that work behind the scenes and aren’t traditionally guest-facing – to honor in an Instagram post, using the hashtag #ChiefRecognitionOfficer. Guided by the hotel’s daily happenings, this campaign is designed to shed light on team recognition and the diversity of the hospitality industry.

Zieren is currently up to Day 44 of the campaign. You can follow him on Instagram here.
