“Development in key markets throughout Latin America is a top priority for Hilton Worldwide, and Peru is no exception,” said Jim Holthouser, executive vice president, global brands, Hilton Worldwide. “Tourism is one of Peru’s most important and growing industries, thanks to the country’s dynamic destinations, unparalleled cuisine and renowned cultural attractions. We look forward to our role in this growth and are committed to further expanding our presence by introducing new brands throughout the country.”

Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton Worldwide’s upscale brand of more than 675 hotels globally, is creating the largest footprint in the Peruvian community, with three hotels underway. Hilton Garden Inn Lima Surco, owned by Mirage Holdings S.A, will consist of 71 guestrooms and will be the first international hotel in the Santiago de Surco district of Lima, Peru – an area very close to the Embassy of the United States of America.

Hilton Garden Inn Lima Miraflores will be a 250-room hotel, and Hilton Garden Inn/Homewood Suites by Hilton Lima San Isidro will be a dual-branded hotel with 280 rooms collectively: 180 Hilton Garden Inn rooms and 100 Homewood Suites rooms. This will mark the first dual-branded hotel outside of North America for these particular brands, and one of Homewood Suites first hotels in the region since the brand developed its Latin America and Caribbean prototype in 2015. These projects will be developed and owned by T&C Developments, and managed by Hilton Worldwide.

The 86-guestroom Hampton by Hilton Tarapoto, owned by Inversiones Hoteleras y Turisticas del Peru S.A.C., will offer guests a great base to experience the vast Amazon Rainforest, with its adventurous river rafting and hiking activities. Guests of the 94-guestroom Hampton by Hilton Trujillo, now under construction, will stay in the center of history, with vibrant colonial architecture, ancient temples and pre-Incan archeological sites. Both franchised properties will join Hampton’s global portfolio of more than 2,100 upper midscale hotels in 20 countries and territories.

DoubleTree by Hilton, a collection of more than 460 upscale hotels across six continents will open its third hotel in Peru. The 65-room DoubleTree by Hilton Iquitos will be the first internationally branded hotel in the Iquitos area, which is a Peruvian Amazon port city known for its open-air street market, rustic homes and departure point for luxury boat cruises in the Amazon River. The franchised hotel will be a conversion of the Hotel Dorado owned by Hotel Plaza S.A.
