New hotel school opens in emerging market

With 2016 named the “Year of Tourism” by the Bangladesh Government it is very timely a brand new hotel school, the Regency Hospitality Training Institute was officially opened by the Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism, Mr Rashed Khan Menon MP.

The Regency Hospitality Training Institute focuses on providing professional training and education to ensure students are “job ready”. They will be doing their professional training in the “real world” of the 5-star Dhaka Regency Hotel as an integrated and fundamental part of their courses. Whether on the front desk, in the kitchens or in the restaurants, they will be getting the necessary professional training that will be the basis of their qualifications. This will ensure they can demonstrate they possess the expertise to take up positions anywhere in the world.

eHotelier has been directly involved in assisting the development of the new institute with the Dean of the eHotelier Academy Prof. Peter A. Jones advising on the design and content of the curriculum. This will ensure it met the needs of both the international industry and the students and eHotelier will continue to support the institute through the Academy and its international network.
