The Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok is located on the same city block as the Erawan Shrine, the site of the bomb blast last night that has killed 20 killed and injured 123 in Bangkok.

In the aftermath, the hotel has issued the following statement:

Update: We are devastated by the tragedy that occurred near the Erawan Shrine in Central Bangkok the evening of August 17. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to those who were injured and to the families who lost loved ones as a result of the incident.

Bangkok is a beautiful and dynamic city and we are doing what we can to support our guests, colleagues, neighbors and the community during this difficult time. Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok is continuing to cooperate with authorities with their investigation.
