Vantage partners with Miraya to enter Indian market

Vantage Hospitality Group, a top 10 global hotel company with over 1,200 properties, is continuing its worldwide expansion by entering into an exclusive master license agreement with Miraya Hotel Management to introduce the Value Inn Worldwide® and Value Hotel Worldwide® brands to India. The announcement was made at the Hotel Investment Conference South Asia in New Delhi.

Vantage-Miraya Press Conference

The Value Inns and Value Hotels will provide moderately priced lodging, and most properties will offer food and beverage services and banquet rooms for weddings and events. Guests will enjoy consistent quality and service at each hotel, while owners will benefit from Vantage’s global reservation system powered by Sabre Hospitality Solutions, as well as its global resources that have helped make Vantage one of the progressive hotel companies in the world. Miraya will provide additional regionally based resources, emulating Vantage’s renowned owner support and revenue-generating opportunities.

“We feel that there is great demand for hotels for the middle class in second- and third-tier markets, and we look forward to bringing our Value brands to those areas of the country. We plan to grow via new construction and re-branding of existing hotels, and are ecstatic that Miraya plans to emulate Vantage’s innovative brand affiliation model that is designed for independent operators and allows them the freedom to operate in the manner they feel is best for their market place,” said Roger Bloss, Founder, President and CEO of Vantage Hospitality.

“Following an extensive search, Vantage has found the ideal partner in Miraya Hotel Management. The company has all the attributes that we were looking for – they have strong knowledge of the Indian hotel industry and franchising, expertise in operations, and are financially sound. With Miraya, we now have the right plan, the right people and the right brands,” said Bill Hanley, Vantage’s Group President of International Development.

Miraya Hotel Management is led by Managing Director & CEO Sudhir Sinha, who has over 30 years of experience in the hospitality and service industry. Prior to launching Miraya, Sinha served as President & COO of Best Western India, as the chain enjoyed a 700% growth rate during his six years with the company. Sinha also was Vice President of Development and Franchise Services at Choice Hotels India for seven years.

“We, through Value Inns & Hotels India, will raise the bar of lodging in the mid-market segment in India. The brand offers hotel owners the most affordable alternative to a traditional hotel franchise in the budget through lower midscale segments and we are happy to be bringing this benefit to hotel owners in India. Our plan is to grow Value Inns & Hotels India to 100 hotels within the next 5-7 years,” said Sinha.

Vantage also continues to expand its international presence in South Korea, Indonesia, Canada and Mexico, and is considering strategically introducing some of the brands it acquired earlier this year (Signature Inn, Country Hearth Inn & Suites, and Jameson Inn) into appropriate growth markets.
