The Opening Ceremony of the 77th Skål International World Congress took place yesterday 30 October at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. Participants were welcomed by the local Club and following the constitution of the head table and the welcoming speeches, the flag parade of the nations represented at the Congress gave colour to the event.
The winners of the Sustainable Tourism Awards, that underline and recognise the best ecotourism practices worldwide, were announced. This year we received 42 entries from private sector companies, government bodies or NGO’s submitted in eight categories. Since their launch in 2002, the Sustainable Tourism Awards have gained considerable prominence in the tourism industry.
After lunch, the various seminars and the B2B Workshop were held with the motto “Doing Business Among Friends”.
