In July this year, representatives from Sarawak Tourism Board will be exhibiting for the first time at The Travel Industry Exhibition (TIE) in Sydney.

Affectionately known as the Land of the Hornbill, Sarawak is rich in culture, nature and adventure.

Year on year, Australian tourist numbers grow for the Malaysian-Borneo destination.

They are set to keep growing with new tourism segments on the horizon, including food, film and sporting events.

Event Director, Exhibitions and Trade Fairs, David McCarthy has said of Sarawak Tourism Board’s participation,

“We welcome the participation of Sarawak Tourism Board to TIE for the first time. They add a lot of value to the show and with nature tourism and eco-tourism on the rise, I’m certain they will be popular amongst travel professionals.

”Director of Marketing, Sarawak Tourism Board, Benedict Jimbau has highlighted the destination-marketing channels of interest at the event “networking with key source market players; both media and travel/tour operators bridges the demand – supply chain for Sarawak as a nature-based holiday destination.”
