AccorHotels is inviting students currently enrolled at any tertiary school to develop ground-breaking food & beverage concepts as part of the group’s fifth annual international challenge for students; “Take Off! 2016”.
Invent a new F&B concept that will revolutionise AccorHotels restaurants’ offer and students stand the chance to travel to Paris to present their ideas and possibly win the trip of a lifetime to the European destination of their choice.
Each year AccorHotels designs a theme to inspire students and this year’s theme is F&B, with food having been identified as the number one motivator for travellers. AccorHotels has been radically overhauling its F&B strategy with new concepts, a fresh approach to restaurant spaces and a reconsideration of everything for the pleasure of its guests.
This contest is limited to the first 300 teams (3 students per team) that register online. Working in groups of three, students will have until 13 April 2016 to register by posting a photomontage on www.accorhotelstakeoff.com
The public can vote for their favourite concept between 14th to 28th April 2016, with the top 50 shortlisted teams whittled down to 15 teams by a jury of industry professionals and AccorHotels employees.
In the next round, these 15 teams will be asked to illustrate their concepts with videos and explain them during a Skype interview.
Five groups will participate in the grand finale in Paris on 22nd June 2016. The team with the best concept will win a stay in the European or Mediterranean city of their choice.
Will they do better than last year? In 2015, nearly 500 participants from 69 schools and universities in 19 countries took part in this adventure. For five years, the passionate talents of tomorrow have been participating in “Take Off!” an ideal way to build lasting ties with future employees from various educational backgrounds.
