The JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE, has announced a new culinary partnership with chef, restaurateur and author Ben Ford. Ford will bring an outpost of his popular Ford’s Filling Station to the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE, with an opening planned for fall 2014.
Ford’s restaurant at the JW Marriott will feature several of his gastropub classics as well as a selection of new signature items exclusive to the L.A. LIVE location. The new downtown Los Angeles restaurant will be the hotel’s signature culinary venue, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.
“Ben is a culinary innovator who makes every dish, no matter how complex or simple, an extraordinary dining experience,” said Javier Cano. “His new restaurant will add an exciting element to our growing Downtown Los Angeles culinary scene, which has seen such an incredible transformation over the past decade and become a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts.”
Known for his creative techniques and craft-driven philosophy to cooking, Ford began his culinary career in Alice Water’s forward-thinking Chez Panisse kitchen, and continues to emphasize fresh, local and sustainable ingredients throughout his menus. The flagship Ford’s Filling Station in Culver City is the first regional American gastropub with a culinary program that showcases uncomplicated, seasonal cuisine. Ford will bring his focus on exciting, locally-sourced, seasonal food to the L.A. LIVE location, elevating his gastropub concept to offer an experience that perfectly complements the new Downtown Los Angeles.

Ford’s restaurant will be located in the lobby level of the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE Hotel, and replaces the former LA Market restaurant.
