Built by the owners of the Hines Property group, ibis Adelaide is one of the most innovative economy hotel in Australia today. It features comfortable rooms with a cool urban design, staff wearing Converse trainers, cutting-edge Samsung technology and a great location.
A connected hotel
This brand-new hotel is attracting attention thanks to the street art by graffiti artist GhostPatrol on its walls and the cutting-edge Samsung technology available in the rooms, where guests can display their photos, videos and games on the big screen. The Samsung Smarthub 690 Series equipment installed in the hotel’s 311 rooms gives customers access to all hotel functions, from restaurant menus to entertainment on demand and internet enabled TV apps.
In parallel, the contemporary interior designed by French design firm Atelier Archange offers a playful and functional look with rooms marrying technology, comfort and heaps of urban cool.
A symbolic opening
ibis Adelaide is not only the first ibis hotel opened in Australia since 2008 – it is also the largest. Development of this AUS$70-million hotel is part of the ibis family’s ambitious expansion program on the Australian continent. Two new ibis Styles hotels are already planned for Western Australia and Queensland.
Accor Pacific Chief Operating Officer Simon McGrath points out that the investments made over the last three years to develop the ibis family have generated a wave of positive reactions from customers lining up to praise the new services. By way of proof: the ibis brand’s Net Promoter Score rose by 4 points in 2014 compared to 2013.
