Hilton Durban appoints Cameron Townend as Food & Beverage Manager

Hilton Durban announced the appointment of Cameron Townend as Food & Beverage Manager.

Markus Fritz, general manager, Hilton Durban, said: “We are excited to see what Cameron can bring to our culinary team. His versatility and passion for food and wine  will undoubtedly reflect positively on his peers and his world class international experience will provide new twists and innovation to our food and beverage offering.”

Townend brings more than a decade of local and international experience to his new role at Hilton Durban. In his former role as food & beverage manager at Fancourt Hotel and Spa Resort, he was responsible for all bars, restaurants, banqueting, room service  and major concerts that attracted approximately 3,000 guests.

Prior to Fancourt Hotel and Spa Resort, Townend had extensive international experience. His impressive career includes working at five-star hotels and restaurants in London and Zanzibar, as well as sailing around the world aboard the Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth 2. Townend also worked at The Oyster Box hotel in South Africa.
