Luca De Astis appointed Executive Chef at Four Seasons Hotel Prague

Four Seasons Hotel Prague announces the appointment of Luca De Astis as Executive Chef. De Astis joins Four Seasons Hotel Prague from its sister property in Istanbul, where he worked as Executive Sous Chef since 2011. Before Istanbul, De Astis spent most of his career working in Michelin starred restaurants in Italy, France and Spain, including Restaurant Laserre and Alain Ducasse in Paris.

Rene Beauchamp, General Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Prague, comments: “Luca has a true passion for Italian food and his pride and love for it will no doubt make him a tremendous ambassador for his country in the Czech Republic. We know his extensive experience will contribute to further develop the CottoCrudo concept and elevate the dining experience at Four Seasons Hotel Prague.”

“I am ready for this new chapter in my career. I have visited Prague on a few occasions and I am grateful for the opportunity to work in such a beautiful city. I know Italian cuisine is very popular in Prague and the Czech Republic, so I am looking forward even more to working with the CottoCrudo team and sharing my experience,” says De Astis.

His motto is: “The key for a chef is communicating and sharing his passion with the kitchen team.  It doesn’t matter what kind of cooking style is used to create a dish, the most important things are always the secret ingredients: passion, care and respect for the products. Guest will feel it.”
