Elias Assaly appointed VP Operations, Managed Hotels at Carlson Rezidor

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has announced that hospitality industry veteran, Elias Assaly has been appointed as Vice President, Operations, Managed Hotels reporting to Javier Rosenberg, chief operating officer, Americas.

“Elias is an innovative hospitality professional with a proven track record in operations,” said Rosenberg. “His leadership and industry expertise will be invaluable to our managed hotel portfolio.”

Assaly will be responsible for the overall success of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group managed portfolio which includes Radisson Blu, Radisson and Country Inns & Suites By Carlson hotels. The operations, sales, revenue management and engineering functions as well as the hotel’s general managers will report to him.

Assaly was most recently chief operating officer for Cortland Partners, a real estate development company headquartered in Atlanta. From 2007 to 2014, he served as vice president, Operations for Rosewood Hotels & Resorts where he oversaw the company’s innovation strategy and was instrumental developing strategic plans, standards of operation and differentiators to maximize financial results.

Additionally, he has held executive management positions at an extensive portfolio of hotels throughout the United States and in Puerto Rico, including Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ W and St. Regis brands, Williams Hospitality, The Ritz-Carlton and Hyatt.
