Prestige Wealth Solutions (PWS), a company that specialises in financial planning and securing the optimum return on investment for clients, will exhibit at QBX Expo, from January 10-12 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre in Qatar.

According to PWS Regional Managing Partner Nabeel Ashraf, the opportunity to be involved in a major event that will bring together different businesses and sectors that feature within Qatar’s booming ecosystem was too good to miss.

Like many growing businesses, PWS is excited by Qatar’s prospects, and the rate of development has been rapid since the Dubai-headquartered company opened an office in the country three years ago.

“We offer a holistic, sophisticated financial planning approach,” Ashraf said.

“We look at a client’s assets and advise them on how they can make tweaks to their investments to make them more efficient over time. It is not just about looking at wealth management, but also ensuring the right structures are available.

“Qatar is a fantastic fit for us and QBX Expo is an event that will focus on businesses providing local services. It will not only allow us to reach out to expats, but it will also give us the opportunity to meet and potentially team up with other partners.

“Also I have watched on with interest as the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre has been built, and I’m really looking forward to going there.”

As preparations continue for QBX Expo, which promises to offer an unprecedented meeting platform for ambitious companies and operators, Ashraf is confident that Qatar is on the right path to fulfilling its potential as a destination of choice for individuals and businesses alike.

“As the expat community grows, the place is going to get bigger and people are going to require new services from a social and professional perspective,” he added.

“Most of Qatar’s growth comes from finite resources, but there is an acknowledgement that they need to move away from that sort of approach, and hosting events like this one is part of the process.

“Qatar recognises that it has room to grow, and business and visa processes will be simplified and streamlined over time. There are already some encouraging developments in these areas happening while we speak.

“Moreover, the new Doha Metro – which will start to operate in 2019 – will make a big difference to public transport and will generate more jobs, while the 2022 Fifa World Cup will open up the country to more visitors.

“The Qatar ‘brand’ will only get stronger in the coming years, and I’m not just talking about the next five to ten years. I can see positive changes happening every year.”

Ashraf’s tips on how delegates can make the most of their expo visit are:

  1. Easy on the ‘hard sell’
“Our line of work is very competitive, but we don’t want to bombard our potential clients with lots of paper and information. The last thing people want at an event like this is sales staff hounding them.”
  2. Get the message right
“It is a good opportunity to show our brand and perhaps offer a few interesting client testimonials and video clips so delegates can find out more. At an event like this, you have to make sure the branding and marketing materials are up to scratch.”
  3. Engage and communicate
“Some of the other companies attending could be potential partners, and it is an opportunity to put our name alongside big, blue chip organisations. The event stretches across three days, so it is a fantastic way to meet potentially thousands of people.”
