Gordon James Gorman new Assistant Vice President Hospitality, Philippines, for the Kuwaiti ITHC Group

The ITHC Group has announced the appointment of Scotsman Gordon James Gorman as Assistant Vice President for its operations, based in Manila, Philippines.

A veteran global hotelier, Gorman brings to his first assignment in the Philippines 35 years of hospitality management experience gained with leading international hotel brands, including Hilton International, Accor, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Dusit International and Rosewood, and most recently with Holiday Inn Hotels in Riyadh.

His globetrotting career spanning four decades, has included operational and General Manager positions in Glasgow, Nairobi, Mombasa, Abuja, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Bangkok, Hua-Hin, Seoul, Bahrain, Dubai, and in Riyadh, where he managed the operations of the ultra luxurious Al Faisaliah Hotel and Residence, Rosewoods market leading and multi award winning properties in the Middle East from 2004-2006, before moving to Pakistan to oversee the renovation and market repositioning of Karachi’s iconic Avari Towers Hotel as General Manager, a position he held until 2014.

Gorman is a Master Hotelier member of the International Chaines de Roitisseurs, a certified TQM (Total Quality Management) Leadership instructor, and a former two term President and founder of FBAT, the Food and Beverage Association of Thailand.
