Brazil’s Fasano opens first US hotel in South Beach

HFZ Capital Group, the New York-based real estate investment and development firm, announced today that Brazilian hospitality and gastronomy firm Fasano is expanding its brand by opening the first-ever Fasano hotel in the United States at Miami Beach’s Shore Club. HFZ Capital Group, the project’s developer, selected Fasano to be the hotel’s operator. The hotel is expected to open at the end of 2017. The Shore Club is being completely transformed to include an approximately 100-room hotel and 75 luxury condominium residences which are being designed by Brazilian architect and designer, Isay Weinfeld. The entire property will be known as Fasano Hotel and Residences at Shore Club.

For over a century, the Fasano family has dedicated itself to providing impeccable service and the finest experience in hospitality through its portfolio of restaurants and hotels. The first Fasano Hotel opened in 2003 in São Paulo and was soon after named one of the “50 Best Hotels of the World” by Condé Nast Traveler. It also marked Isay Weinfeld’s first hotel project.

“Fasano has an unparalleled tradition of excellence which aligns perfectly with our vision for a completely transformed Shore Club. We are thrilled to have Fasano as our partner and to introduce Miami Beach to their unique approach to hospitality,” said Ziel Feldman, Founder and Chairman, HFZ Capital Group.

“Attention to detail has always been the Fasano hallmark and our properties are truly driven by passion and excellence. We are excited to be collaborating with HFZ Capital Group on the Fasano Hotel and Residences at Shore Club,” said Rogerio Fasano, Chairman, Fasano. Fasano currently operates leading hotels throughout South America including Fasano Rio de Janeiro, Fasano Punta del Este in Uruguay and Fasano Boa Vista, a countryside retreat just an hour’s drive from São Paulo.

Fasano Hotel and Residences at Shore Club is located on the oceanfront in the heart of Miami Beach. This will be Weinfeld’s first large scale project in Miami and the 3-acre ocean-side property will be infused with his elegant, unique and distinct design sensibility that has won him numerous accolades the world over. Weinfeld’s design plans for the project were unanimously approved by the City of Miami Beach Historic Preservation Board earlier this year.

Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is handling the exclusive sales and marketing for the condominium residences. Strong interest from buyers resulted in reservations of 20% of the project during the first week of sales. HFZ Capital Group plans to release additional residences for sale in the coming weeks.
