Upscale Best Western Plus to open in North Bangkok

Best Western Plus logoBest Western International, Inc. has announced plans to open its first hotel in the up-and-coming area of North Bangkok.

Scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2015, the new BEST WESTERN PLUS Wanda Grand Hotel will be located close to key business, leisure and MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Conference and Exhibition) destinations. These include the Central Chaeng Wattana shopping mall, IMPACT Mueang Thong Thani exhibition center, the Thai government complex at Chaeng Wattana and the World Medical Center. Located close to the city’s network of freeways will allow guests to easily travel to Bangkok’s two international airports and across the city.

“We are pleased to be opening the BEST WESTERN PLUS Wanda Grand Hotel in North Bangkok and expect this stylish upscale hotel will become a magnet for corporate travelers, due to its proximity to local businesses, government offices and IMPACT – Thailand’s biggest conference and events facility,” said Oliver Berrivin, managing director of Best Western International Operations – Asia.

BEST WESTERN PLUS Wanda Grand Hotel will have 183 contemporary rooms and suites ranging from superior to two-bedroom suites. All rooms will come equipped with a selection of upscale amenities, including flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, mini-bars and complimentary Wi-Fi. The hotel will also offer a Thai and international cuisines all-day dining restaurant, a lobby lounge and a swimming pool & fitness center.

For the corporate and events markets, BEST WESTERN PLUS Wanda Grand Hotel will also provide eight function rooms, including a 10,900 sq. ft. banqueting hall.

“The opening of the BEST WESTERN PLUS Wanda Grand Hotel will mark a significant milestone in our development, and I look forward to welcoming our first guests to this new upscale hotel later this year,” he added.

With the addition of the BEST WESTERN PLUS Wanda Grand Hotel, Best Western has a collection of seven hotels in Bangkok, covering three of its brands: classic BEST WESTERN, upscale BEST WESTERN PLUS and luxury BEST WESTERN PREMIER.

Best Western Asia first launched in Bangkok in 2001 and now covers 15 countries in the region, with more than 100 hotels either operating or in the pipeline.
