AHMS –The Collection makes four key appointments

AHMS –The Collection is pleased to announce four key appointments as the boutique hotel operator enters an exciting new phase in its history with upcoming property launches in new markets Chiang Mai and Cambodia and the recent debut of its Italics restaurant brand.

Mark Eletr is AHMS’s new Group General Manager. He has extensive operational experience through his years in the hospitality industry, launching his career in food and beverage in Australia at North Queensland’s Green Island Resort on the Great Barrier Reef.

A civil engineer by training who changed careers to follow his dream, Mr Eletr made up for lost time in the hotel industry, eventually leaving his native Australia and arriving in Thailand as General Manager of the five-star Anantara Rasanda Koh Phangan Villa Resort & Spa, before being promoted to Cluster General Manager for Anantara in Abu Dhabi, overseeing three luxury resorts for the group on Sir Bani Yas Island.

Frenchman Thomas Dazard has been appointed Corporate Finance Manager, bringing to the group a wealth of auditing experience including a five-year stint at Ernst & Young in Europe and a further three years with French-headquartered global IT group Atos.

At Ernst & Young Mr Dazard worked on the account of major listed group Vivendi, led teams and conducted audit missions for 10 major companies ranging across manufacturing, real estate, IT, entertainment, media and retail. He also conducted due diligence on mergers and acquisitions.

Naruedol ‘Doi’ Ruangsawad has joined AHMS as its Chief Accountant. His career includes an eight-year stint at Ernst & Young (Thailand) where he led audit teams of up to eight assistants as Senior Audit Assistant in the firm’s Assurance and Advisory Business Services Department.

Pattana ‘Bik’ Waithayanon is the group’s new Sales Director. Ms Waithayanon has brought more than 15 years in sales and marketing in the hospitality industry to AHMS. Her most recent position prior to joining the AHMS team was as Director of Sales at the Swissotel Resort Phuket, following five years as Assistant Director of Sales at Le Méridien Chiang Rai Resort, where she was elevated to Director of Sales in 2013.

“They are four professionals of the highest calibre,” said AHMS Managing Director and founder Anchalika Kijkanakorn. “It’s a milestone time for the group and I’m looking forward to their contribution.

“There’s the soon-to-launch five-star akyra Manor Chiang Mai and the launch of the six-star AKARYN Retreat Koh Krabey, Cambodia, as well as the recent debut of our Italics restaurant brand, a contemporary Italian dining experience in Bangkok and coming up at akyra Manor Chiang Mai.”
