Mr. Muneesh Budden, General Manager of U Tropicana Alibaug is pleased to announce appointment of Hemant Dharmnath Mungekar as the new Chef In Charge of the resort.

Having served in various hospitality positions, Chef Hemant is a seasoned culinary professional bringing over 17 years of culinary experience. Chef Hemant is in charge of overseeing all the culinary aspects of the kitchens, menus, training modules and most importantly fortifying the standards of excellence expected by both domestic and international patrons.

A graduate from Rizvi College of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Mumbai, he began his culinary career at Holiday Inn – Juhu, Mumbai as Department Chef in Charge. Prior to joining U Tropicana Alibaug, he was associated with GVK Lounge at International Airport Mumbai as Sous Chef. He has worked with premium hospitality brands like ITC – Grand Maratha Sheraton, Ramee Hotel and Holiday Inn. During his tenure at P&O Cruise Lines he also got an opportunity to work with Michelin Star Chef Marco Peirre White. His innate understanding of food allows him to adopt delicacies from different cultures and regions to different tastes and sensibilities.
