Henry Tay joines Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou as Hotel Manager

A veteran of the hotel industry with more than 24 years of hotel management experience, Henry Tay recently joined Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou as Hotel Manager.

A food and beverage professional, Henry first started his career at JW Marriot Hotel Hong Kong. He then further developed an in-depth knowledge of the China market through working as food and beverage director in key cities in China including Shenzhen, Qingdao, Chongqing and Beijing.

Henry’s depth and breadth of hotel experience spans across major international hotel groups including Accor, Shangri-La, IHG, Starwood and Marriott. He has held a number of general manager assignments with AccorHotels for both their Sofitel and Pullman brands. Prior to joining Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou, he was general manager of Sofitel Nanjing Zhongshan Golf Resort.

Originally from Singapore, Henry holds a bachelors degree in business administration majoring in hotel and restaurant management from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. His management motto is a famous quote from Dr. Stephen R. Covey: “Seek first to understand, then to be understood.”
