Small Luxury Hotels of the World welcomes three new properties in Mexico to its portfolio of boutique luxury hotels. The hotels join alongside seven other SLH properties in Mexico.
Stara Hamburgo; Mexico City, Mexico
Newly opened in January 2016, this boutique property is a historic nineteenth-century Spanish mansion on the outside with a contemporary hotel on the inside. Bold, modern furnishings catch the eye in the 60 rooms and suites, and intelligent features such as acoustic screens will help ensure guests sleep soundly. Many rooms offer a private balcony with views of the city or garden. The colourful Roof Garden Restaurant, which serves inventive international and Mexican cuisine, also offers a panoramic view of the buzzing city streets. Guests at this ultra-modern all-suite hotel can experience the feel of staying in their own luxury apartment whilst being able to take advantage of the services the hotel offers. Chablé Spa & Resort; Yucatan, Mexico
In a unique setting in the heart of the Mayan forest, Chablé Spa & Resort is spread across 750 acres on Mexico’s famed Yucatan Peninsula. The resort opens its doors in November, featuring 38 stand-alone pool villas with outdoor showers, hammocks, and large outdoor living rooms. The spa is the centre piece of the hacienda, built beside a “cenote,” natural case formations unique to the Yucatan and considered sacred by the Mayans.
