Mario Casal Jr. announced as The National Hotel Miami Beach’s Director of Sales and Marketing

Mario Casal Jr.The National Hotel Miami Beach has announced the appointment of Mario Casal Jr. as Director of Sales and Marketing. Casal will be responsible for creating sales initiatives that drive revenue for the property, as well as developing marketing campaigns that are strategic and innovative to keep up with today’s rapidly evolving marketplace.

Casal has been in the hospitality industry for nearly 25 years, and has devoted his career to the crucial sales and marketing aspects of the business. He has touched various lines of business within the industry, from cruising to hotels and even tour operations. Casal began at Dolphin and Majesty Cruise Lines in 1992 and dedicated more than three years to the company before earning the Sales and Marketing Manager position at Florida Network Tours.

In March 2000 he joined the Surfcomber Hotel, an iconic South Beach property, and served for more than 12 years as Director of Sales and Marketing, exceeding the yearly budget year over year, creating and managing execution of the sales and marketing plan and being instrumental in exciting revenue generating promotions such as the Super Bowl event, which converted the property into the Bud Light resort, generating more than $1 million in revenue. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Sales at Menin Hospitality where he was responsible for the financial success of five properties in Miami and Chicago, including two he opened in Miami.
