Le Roch Hotel & Spa opens in Paris

Le Roch Hotel & SpaLe Roch Hotel & Spa will boast one of the best addresses in Paris—rubbing shoulders with the Place Vendôme, the Opéra Garnier, and the Louvre. Conceived by the hit French interior designer Sarah Lavoine, the 37-room hideaway features a sunlit courtyard, a library, a destination restaurant, and an exclusive spa.

Fresh from creating the timelessly elegant aesthetics of the celebrated Parisian haunt Victoria 1836, Lavoine has collaborated with award-winning architect Vincent Bastie to breathe new life into the 19th-century heritage structure that houses Le Roch. Informed by Lavoine’s signature design motifs of clean lines, noble materials, and uncluttered spaces, the public areas and guest rooms promote a new art of living à la Française. “Le Roch reflects the real soul of the neighborhood where it stands: a village atmosphere where the Parisian art de vivre retains a real feel at home feeling”, says Lavoine of the hotel’s concept.

The interiors of Le Roch are defined by a soft, pastel-hued palette of sage, chartreuse, and milky green, and natural, authentic materials. From Carrera marble to solid walnut wood flooring, Kaldewei bathtubs and basins to Ressource paints, and furniture made by Cassina—as well as custom pieces designed by Lavoine herself—the hotel has been elegantly appointed with a discerning eye to detail and balance. Each of the 37 rooms and suites offers state-of-the-art amenities including flat-screen televisions, smart speaker systems and multi-service interactive tablets enabled with live chat with the hotel team.

Each of the suites boasts a private hammam steam bath, complimented by a range of specially commissioned cosmetics by CODAGE, available exclusively at Le Roch Hotel & Spa. CODAGE Paris is a contemporary House of French Cosmetology founded by brother and sister team Julien and Amandine Azencott. Hailing from a family active in medicine and pharmaceuticals, their passion to breathe new life into cosmetology is underpinned by a belief that beauty involves proper nourishment of the skin, adaptable to every need at any instant. It was with this in mind that CODAGE launched its exclusive skincare line in 2010, formulated and prepared by expert ‘formulators’ in their laboratory located in the South of France, near Nice.

The signature house treatment has been uniquely designed for Le Roch, boasting a blissed-out 75 minutes of top-to-toe facial and body massage. For lasting effects, an ‘On the Road Again Prescription’ is included, consisting of a one-month supply from CODAGE’s ready-to-wear skin care line designed to battle jetlag and environmental changes caused by travel.

Every element of the hotel has been conceptualized with understated elegance and tranquility in mind, from the plush sofas nestled next to the fireplace in the lounge and library area to the sun-drenched courtyard garden. However, the rituals of relaxation find their zenith in the hotel’s fitness and spa area, which features a hammam and private pool—an exquisite rarity in the cosmopolitan capital.

Considering the impeccable culinary heritage of Saint-Honoré, it comes as no surprise that Le Roch’s restaurant is a lesson in world-class gastronomy. With rising star Arnaud Faye at the helm, the menu strays from the traditional French gastronomic tradition to pay homage to the botanical, encompassing mostly vegetal dishes designed to be shared.
