Bug Software travel platform selects DHISCO to power connections

bug softwareDHISCO Inc., the hospitality distribution company, has announced that Bug Software, a next-generation travel platform, has selected DHISCO to provide connections between travel portals, hotels, travel agents and tour operators.

This partnership offers Bug Software, a third-party integrator, the technology to speed up travel search and booking capabilities while reducing the need for multiple connections between hotels and online travel agencies and other demand partners.

Bug Software’s BugHotel Reservation System is a web-based platform that enables travel portals to offer fast, real-time hotel and search and booking functions. With DHISCO’s connectivity, Bug Software also can offer connections through DHISCO Switch, opening access to more than 100,000 hotels partners around the world.

The partnership offers growth potential for both companies, said Paulo Andrade, CEO of Bug Software.

“With this solution, we enable our customers to tap into a much broader marketplace with easy connections to DHISCO Switch,” he said. “At the same time, DHISCO will help us grow our business by referring online travel agencies and business-to-business clients looking for simpler ways to connect hotels around the world.”

Toni Portmann, CEO of DHISCO, said the partnership underscores the company’s commitment to working with a new breed of third-party integrators providing hospitality distribution solutions.

“Bug Software is the first in what we expect to be a growing list of third-party integrator partners,” Portmann said. “By connecting to DHISCO, Bug Software offers OTAs and other travel portals the ability to connect seamlessly through our switch, eliminating the need for building costly, hard-to-maintain direct connections between hotels and demand partners.”
