Through the renovation, the new lobby enhances the incredible views to give guests a ‘wow’ factor from the moment they enter the hotel. Guests now enter the lobby and are welcomed with direct, breathtaking views of the Ponte Vecchio. Hotel Lungarno now offers 40 rooms with views of the Ponte Vecchio and the main monuments of the city, and 18 rooms with dramatic views of the heart of Florence, offering travelers the best location to enjoy private breakfast and dinners. All guest rooms have been updated, and 10 rooms have been designed for families, accommodating up to four guests per room. These 10 family-friendly rooms are unique, as Hotel Lungarno is now able to provide more options for families traveling to Florence making their trip even more seamless. The room renovations and creation of these 10 family-friendly rooms have allowed for more adjoining rooms and additional room types. One of the most exciting aspects of the room renovations is the creation of two floors that can be privatized for VIP guests, groups and multi-generational travelers. The first floor has five rooms and suites that can be separated from the rest of the hotel. On this floor, rooms include one of the signature suites, the Duplex Cocteau Suite with river views, as well as two studios with river views, a new Duplex Family Suite and a relaxing room. The second floor that can be privatized is located on the hotel’s fifth floor, with dramatic river and city views. On this floor, there are four rooms and suites, including an executive room with an expansive terrace overlooking the Ponte Vecchio and a brand new studio with a spacious balcony over the river. All of Hotel Lungarno’s rooms are dressed in soothing whites and sea blues with elegant furnishings, refined linens and cashmeres and charming artwork.

Guests of Hotel Lungarno are now able to enjoy breakfast al-fresco with unique views of the Ponte Vecchio with the redesigned breakfast area. The new breakfast area will be one of the most enjoyable experiences for Hotel Lungarno guests, as they can start their day overlooking the river as the sunlight shines through the lobby. The Picteau Lounge has also been completely refurbished, and the new design creates an airy, living room experience, making it the perfect spot for afternoon tea or aperitivo. Michele Bonan opted for fresh whites, sea blues and nautical accents to create a sense of being in an enchanting townhouse surrounded by water and art. Additionally, the Michelin-starred Borgo San Jacopo restaurant, overseen by Executive Chef Peter Brunel, has been revitalized and will now be open exclusively for dinner and inviting guests to experience inventive Italian cuisine reflective of various regions in Italy. There is also a new private dining room within the restaurant and a new wine cellar featuring over 1,000 bottles of wine.

Hotel Lungarno will continue to celebrate the art and culture of the destination of Florence. The hotel houses one of the largest collections of privately-owned 20th Century art, with over 450 pieces including Picasso, Cocteau, Bueno and many other Italian artists. The renovation has brought new prestige to the works of 900 artists, and they are positioned throughout the various common areas and the floors based on personal and artistic characteristics. The stories of the drawings are now told through five different narrative paths for guests to embark on for an immersive, cultural experience. The itineraries follow the lives and work of impressive international artists including Picasso, Bueno and Cocteau, as well as versatile art masters who characterized the Italian art movement in the 20th Century. Tales of torment, love and a stolen painting are still hanging on the walls inside the Hotel Lungarno.Ê
