Viceroy Hotel Group has unveiled plans for Viceroy Kopaonik Serbia, a 120-room ski resort. Set to open in 2018, the hotel marks the second ski destination within the group’s portfolio. The architectural and design details draw inspiration from the local ÒSuvo RudisteÓ style that plays on the natural beauty of the resort’s surrounding landscape, according to the hotel group. Dark, natural timber anchors the design with white accents, while windows and open-air spaces capture the property’s views in all directions.
Amenities will include four dining venues, two meeting rooms, a covered pool, an outdoor jacuzzi, a ski valet, as well as the Generation V kids’ club and local programming. In addition, there will beÊa six-treatment room spa complete with a beauty lab, an indoor vitality pool, a hammam/scrub room and a boutique.
Nicknamed the “Mountain of the Sun,” the Serbian city Kopaonik has nearly 200 sunny days each year. In the summer months, rafting, mountain biking and paragliding activities are available. Guests of the property will encounter a ski-in, ski-out experience complete with more than 35 miles of runs for Alpine skiing.
Viceroy Kopaonik Serbia is the result of a partnership between Viceroy Hotel Group and KPI D.O.O. Belgrade, a privately held real estate developer specializing in Central and Eastern Europe investments.Ê
