A new hospitality landmark launched in the heart of Brisbane on October 15th with an informal gathering to mark the soft opening of the Swiss-Belhotel Brisbane.
The newly-built property heralds the Queensland arrival of one of the world’s fastest growing hotel management groups, Swiss-Belhotel International. The group’s Chairman and President Mr Gavin Faull has personally overseen the rapid growth of the company’s portfolio, from just three hotels in 1990 to 135 hotels world-wide this year, and says he’s particularly proud to see the culmination of a three-year development project completed with the launch of this new four-and-a-half star hotel.
“Belhotel means beautiful hotel and that is exactly what we have created in Brisbane,” expalined Mr.Faull. “The location is also a major advantage as it looks right down the magical Brisbane River and is five minutes from The Gabba and three major hospitals. It’s also 10 minutes’ walk from the CBD and close to the South Bank, the cultural precinct, and Brisbane Convention and Entertainment Centre.”
Swiss-Belhotel Brisbane features stylish, contemporary interiors with galley kitchens (in some rooms), full minibars, marble desks and LED lighting. Top class facilities include a large corporate lounge, two meeting rooms, an indoor heated swimming pool, an in-house gymnasium and secure on-site parking for 40 cars. Café 63 at Swiss-Belhotel offers breakfast, lunch and dinner daily from a menu featuring local produce, with signature dishes available to supplement a range of more casual food options.
Swiss-Belhotel Brisbane’s General Manager, Mrs Dinah-Louise Marrs, brings a wealth of experience to the role having worked in key positions in the hospitality industry in Australia and Thailand over a distinguished 20-year career.
