Innside by Meliá Frankfurt Ostend now open

In early October the Spanish Meliá Hotels International hotel group with a global portfolio of more than 370 hotels opened Innside by Meliá Frankfurt Ostend, a new four-star superior hotel located inside a building complex named “The East” in Frankfurt’s Ostend district. The premium location right across from the European Central Bank, the excellent transport connection, and the short walking distance to the famous Roemer building and the city hall make the new hotel in the former industry and working-class neighbourhood, that is rapidly changing into a new creative hub, an interesting choice for both business travellers and city tourists.

Following the unique design concept of the Innside by Meliá premium brand, the stylish residence provides 168 rooms and suites on six levels and a modern, elegant-puristic atmosphere. Fitting the classy wood look of the floors, the bright rooms are dominated by monochrome white, black and silver colouring. Effective indirect lighting creates eye-catching violet accents. All rooms and lifestyle suites offer king or queen-size beds, adjustable air conditioning, a 40-inch LED television set, a free soft drink minibar, free WiFi, desks including a media hub and high-speed Internet access, as well as open bathroom concepts with a rain shower.

Six flexibly combinable event rooms fully equipped with state-of-the-art media technology, provide full climate control and daylight on a total area of 380 sqm that can be used for various events offering space for up to 250 people. This four-star superior conference offer is currently unique in Ostend. Those who want to keep fit or relax at the end of a working day during their trip can work out in the fitness area equipped with the latest fitness devices and afterwards relax in the sauna area, which includes a recreation and massage room.

“Stock Avenue 81”, a hybrid mixture of restaurant, hotel bar and outside terrace, provides a combination of trendy atmosphere, entertainment and communication centre. On roughly 200 sqm, Innside Frankfurt Ostend presents both hotel guests and locals varied international crossover cuisine with a local touch on the ground floor. This includes grilled dishes as well as “food-to-share”, small snacks for sharing and joint enjoyment. Select wines and cocktails complement the assortment of food. A musical programme adjusted to the daytime ensures an atmospheric background.

Frankfurt is an important Meliá location in Germany

With Innside Frankfurt Ostend, the Mallorca-based hotel chain once more underlines its commitment in Germany, the group’s second-largest European market of the Meliá Hotels International (MHI) group, where it is now present with 26 hotels, among them 13 Innside hotels. The Innside by Meliá brand was originally developed in Germany and has been part of Meliá Hotels International since 2007. It is one of Meliá’s most successful and strongest expanding city hotel brands on a global level. Innside stands for puristic elegance, modern orientation and avant-garde flair. In 2017, another hotel of this four to five-star brand will be opening in Hamburg. By 2019, about 20 new Innside hotels will open across the world. The most recent international addition is located in Manhattan.

In Frankfurt, MHI already operates three other hotels: Innside by Meliá Niederrad, Innside by Meliá Eurotheum, and QGreenhotel by Meliá. In 2019, there will be a new hotel that belongs to the Meliá upscale brand. Kai Lamlé, Area Vice President Meliá Hotels & Resorts EMEA and Managing Director Germany, explains Frankfurt’s obvious attractiveness from his company’s point of view: “As important economic and traffic hub that hosts many important trade fairs and congresses, the city of Frankfurt is one of the most interesting locations in Germany for us. There is no other German city in which we have four hotels. We would like to participate even more in the conference business here.” Kai Lamlé is convinced that the new hotel “will close a gap in the city’s rising Ostend quarter. Due to the many new construction projects and ongoing structural changes, a highly attractive quarter is coming to life around the so-called ‘The East’ complex with its numerous creative companies. We want to put our mark on this new quarter with our lifestyle-oriented Innside brand concept.”
