The hotel has belonged to the Steigenberger Hotel Group since as long ago as 1 January 2015. It was initially operated under the name of the Hotel Cologne Rudolfplatz by Carey Property S.L., a company managed by the Spanish-based group Azora.

Puneet Chhatwal, CEO of Steigenberger Hotels AG, stated: “Cologne was one of the very few blank spots on our map. We are delighted to gain a foothold in this Rhineland metropolis in order to be able to offer our outstanding level of Steigenberger service.”

The hotel is located in a listed building at the very heart of the city only a few minutes from the historic sight.

Javier Arús Castillo, Azora’s partner responsible for hotels, added: “We have enjoyed a highly successful partnership with Steigenberger for many years. This has its basis in the excellent level of cooperation we enjoy with the Steigenberger Hotel Berlin on Los-Angeles-Platz. For this reason, we are confident that we will be able to work with Steigenberger Hotel Cologne to make a major contribution towards the repositioning of the Rudolfplatz.”
