Novum Hotel Group expands to Amsterdam

The european expansion of the NOVUM Hotel Group takes shape: A new hotel is being built at the port of Amsterdam, not far from this international metropolis’ city centre. The first class hotel with 245 rooms will be branded “NOVUM Select Hotel City Harbour Amsterdam”, with an opening planned for 2019.

“As part of our international expansion, we have now made a decisive step towards establishing our brand in Europe”, says David Etmenan, CEO of the NOVUM Group, regarding the contract signing. After the first hotel in Vienna, there is, apart from Amsterdam, another hotel construction planned in Budapest, Hungary. “Further NOVUM Hotels will follow in Europe”, says Etmenan.

The Hamburg-based hotel company is currently operating over 80 hotels with more than 7.500 rooms. The primary goal is to increase this number to 150 hotels by 2020.

The NOVUM Select Hotel City Harbour Amsterdam will be built at the Cruquiuseiland, directly next to the inner city. In addition, there are numerous facilities planned, like a Serviced Apartment house (operated by the Short Stay Group) and a marina with 200 berths for yachts as well as a two-floor underground car park. The Dutch HBB Group is the project developer. No data regarding the level of investments were disclosed.
