Australia’s largest privately owned hotel management company StayWell Hospitality Group (SWHG) today announced the signing of a long-term agreement to deliver the company’s first Park Regis property in Western Australia.
Scheduled to open in the Perth suburb of Subiaco in late 2017, the 168 room Park Regis development will be the latest opening for the fast growing international brand which has a presence in Singapore, United Arab Emirates, India, United Kingdom and Indonesia.
StayWell Hospitality Group CEO Mr Simon Wan said that formalising the agreement for the hotel is an exciting move west for the Sydney based company and for the Subiaco community which has long had an accommodation shortage.
“Once complete the Park Regis Subiaco, which is located at the site of the former Ace Cinemas in the heart of the Subiaco Town Centre, will be part of a mixed-use development featuring an “A” grade office block, premium quality cinemas, public piazza, food court and retail areas,” said Mr Wan.
“The hotel, which has been designed by Campion Design Group, will contain a range of premium accommodation options including spacious guestrooms in a mixture of standard, deluxe or one bedroom suites and family rooms to ensure the offering is suitable for a variety of travellers,” he said.
Hotel guests will also have access to a rooftop restaurant and bar, swimming pool, gymnasium and conference facilities.
The owner’s representative Lloyd Collins said, “the new Park Regis Subiaco will cleverly cater for both leisure and business travellers”.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer guests a range of accommodation and entertainment options in such close proximity to key locations of the Subiaco train station, University of Western Australia, QE2 Medical Centre, Kings Park and the Perth CBD,” said Mr Collins.
The opening of Park Regis Subiaco will bring the StayWell Hospitality Group’s portfolio to 30 hotels and a step closer to the group’s strategic objective of expanding its portfolio to 100 hotels within three years.
