Five new hotels in Italy (Venice), China (Fuzhou), in Lebanon (Beirut) and Ghana (Accra) and Saudi Arabia (Al Khobar) will join Kempinski’s portfolio during 2016.
Europe’s oldest luxury hotel group currently operates 72 hotels in 31 countries, with a further 33 projects in the pipeline – including the Kempinski Hotel The Wave Muscat, Oman, and the Kempinski Hotel Riga, Latvia, both expected to be opened in the first half of the year 2017.
San Clemente Palace Kempinski Venice, Italy
A place to long for: Venice, or “La Serenissima”, casts a spell unlike any other city in Europe and continues to fascinate travellers. Right on Venice’s doorstep, on San Clemente private island, the San Clemente Palace Kempinski will open its doors to guests on March 24. Lush gardens, antique court yards, a historic church built in the 12th century – set in a former monastery, this place takes guests on a journey in time, while Piazza San Marco is just ten minutes away by boat. 190 rooms and suites provide privacy and relaxation with views of the impressive skyline of Venice, the lagoon, the Lido or romantic courtyards and gardens. Kempinski Hotel Fuzhou, China
Fuzhou is the capital of Fujian province and an important seaport at China’s southeast coast. Kempinski Hotel Fuzhou, located in the Jin An business district of Fuzhou, is part of a larger master development, which includes residential componant, hig-end offices with a stylish entertainment and shopping village next door.
With historical sites like Han and Tang dynasty ancient cities close by, the hotel is a careful blend of ancient and modern China. Kempinski Hotel Fuzhou features 327 rooms and suites, a state-of-the-art fitness club and a 550 sqm Kempinski The Spa, managed by Resense Spa S.A. The culinary offering comprises eight restaurants and bars including refined Chinese cuisine, a steak house and a Paulaner Brauhaus. A highlight is Yunge Grill, a seafood restauranton the 22nd and 23rd floor with an outdoor barbecue terrace where guests can enjoy views of Fuzhou’s stunning skyline. Kempinski Summerland Hotel & Resort Beirut, Lebanon
Situated on the beautiful Lebanese coastline right next to Beirut, Kempinski Summerland Hotel & Resort is currently being built over an area of 65,000 sqm, and will become the place to be for both guests and locals. Rafic Hariri International Airport is close by. The hotel will have more than 153 rooms and suites, two restaurants serving international and Lebanese specialties and various bars. Ample leisure activities and relaxation opportunities are available with a 5,000 sqm private sandy beach, a 47-berth marina, a luxurious spa spread over 1,500 sqm, several pools, water ski-ing, sailing and diving.

Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra, Ghana
With this five-star hotel, offering more than 269 rooms and suites, Kempinski brings a hitherto unknown standard of luxury to Accra. Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra is the luxury hotel group’s first hotel in Ghana and partly opened since November 2015.
Ideally located in the city centre, the new Kempinski hotel offers not only the most spacious rooms in Accra, but also two restaurants, a lobby with an open-air lounge, a cocktail bar and a pool lounge. 1,700 sqm of conference facilities, including the city’s largest ballroom, is available for conferences, meetings and other events. Kempinski Al Othman Hotel Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia
Kempinski Al Othman Hotel in Al Khobar will have 218 rooms and suites. Guests will be able to choose from 141 rooms, 57 suites including two Presidential Suites and one Royal Suite spread over 250 sqm as well as 20 apartments with hotel service. Nine restaurants, cafés and bistros will look after guests’ culinary wellbeing. The hotel will also have a fully-equipped fitness studio, a swimming pool and a luxurious Resense Spa.
Located in the business centre of the city, just 20 minutes by car from Bahrain and 45 minutes from King Fahd International Airport, the hotel is the ideal location for business travellers. The five-star hotel provides a variety of conference rooms for business meetings and event facilities, including two banquet halls each of 1,080 sqm and a well-equipped, state-of-the-art business centre that will satisfy the most demanding requirements.
