Zhuhai Marriott opens with a nod to Lingnan history

Marriott Hotels is continuing its expansion in China with the opening of the Zhuhai Marriott Hotel in the city of Zhuhai, China. Under a long-term management agreement with ZhuHai New Dragon Hotel Co., Ltd, the 332-room Zhuhai Marriott Hotel is the first property of Marriott International in the city, one of the first special economic zones spearheading the economic reform of modern China.

The Zhuhai Marriott Hotel is located in Xiangzhou District, the city centre of Zhuhai and is adjacent to the renowned Jingshan Park. It provides guests with convenient access to the Zhuhai Light Rail Station, Jiuzhou Ferry Terminal and Zhuhai Airport. It is just a five-minute walk from the International Trade Shopping Plaza, Zhuhai Shopping Mail, Zhuhai Duty Free Store and the Zhuhai Museum.

The Zhuhai Marriott Hotel marks another milestone in the development of Zhuhai’s hospitality industry. The hotel is a renovation and expansion project of the Zhuhai Hotel, which was highly regarded as the epitome of the city’s intimate bond with Lingnan culture. The original building of Zhuhai Hotel was designed in Lingnan garden architectural style and once called “Grand View Garden”. Zhuhai Marriott Hotel will carry the torch of Zhuhai Hotel’s vision for bringing the most refined hotel services to Zhuhai.

The Zhuhai Marriott Hotel has 332 contemporary guest rooms and suites, with hints of traditional Chinese elements. The rooms offer views of either the picturesque Lovers’ Road or the breathtaking Lingding Ocean. The Zhuhai Marriott Hotel offers more than 1,600 square meters of meeting space, including a 710 square meter grand ballroom, divisible into three sections and seven separate meeting rooms. All its meeting spaces feature natural lighting and complete state-of-the art audio and visual facilities as well as wireless internet access.

While at the hotel, guests can enjoy a variety of local and international culinary delights at the venues as follow: Man Ho, a high-end Chinese restaurant featuring seven private dining rooms, offering authentic Cantonese cuisine; City Bistro, the all-day-dining restaurant featuring an international buffet; Tatsumi, offering a variety of delicious Japanese cuisine including teppanyaki, sushi and washoku, blending traditional flavors with a modern twist; Vue, a uniquely designed terrace bar with ample outdoor and indoor seating; The Lounge, a casual coffee and pastry hub during the day transforms to cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the evening; China Baking Company, the Zhuhai Marriott Hotel’s patisserie that specializes in freshly baked breads, sandwiches, cakes and brewed coffee.
