Four Points by Sheraton Penghu opens as second property for brand in Taiwan

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide along with Jia Peng Co., Ltd., has announced the opening of Four Points by Sheraton Penghu, marking the first internationally branded hotel in Magong City, Penghu Island, and the second Four Points hotel in Taiwan, joining Four Points by Sheraton Taipei, Zhonghe.

Four Points Penghu offers 308 guestrooms and 23 suites with private balconies, providing everything guests need to stay comfortable during their travels, including the plush Four Points signature bed, 48-inch flat screen TV, soothing rainforest shower, and all the extras that guests love, such as complimentary bottled water and fast and free WiFi throughout the hotel. Dining options include The Eatery, the brand’s signature restaurant, offering a range of delicious international cuisines, and China Spice, serving authentic Taiwanese dishes using the island’s freshest seafood. At Apatite lobby lounge, guests can enjoy authentic local brews as part of the signature Best Brews program, or enjoy live music at the lower level Swave bar.

Located in Magong City— the largest city in Penghu— the hotel is just minutes from various shopping, dining and entertainment venues. Additionally, Magong International Airport (MZG) is a convenient 15-minute drive.

Penghu Island is made up of ninety small isles also known as the Prescadores (Fisherman) Islands, named by Portuguese explorers. It is famed for its rich natural resources, including great beaches and more than 200 different bird species. Visitor highlights include the Fenggui area, Hsiaomen Whale Caves and Tongliang Great Banyan Tree, which is said to be 200 years old. In Penghu, fishing and snorkeling serve as popular activities. The island also offers an abundance of seafood, such as groupers, abalone, lobsters, clams and shellfish.
