Swiss-Belhotel International, a leading global hotel management company based in Hong Kong and owned in partnership by Gavin M. Faull, a New Zealand international businessman, has purchased Swiss-Belresort Coronet Peak, Queenstown.

Swiss-Belresort Coronet Peak is well located near the Coronet Peak ski fields as well as the Shotover Jet operation and across the road from the famous Onsen Hot Pools. It is a location that attracts both international and national tourists.
Swiss-Belresort Coronet Peak has 78 rooms and suites, the only seven lane bowling alley in Queenstown, two bars, two restaurants, and supporting facilities including gardens and recreation areas. The hotel offers great facilities for both tourists and locals and is ideal for the family traveler.
Swiss-Belhotel International will be totally refurbishing the hotel over the next 18 months which will also include the bar and restaurants. It is the objective to present the hotel as a truly international operation as well as developing the restaurant, bar and recreational facilities in a way that the local market will use and appreciate. Swiss-Belresort Coronet Peak aims to develop into a real asset and facility for this beautiful area of Queenstown and will become an important part of local entertainment and enjoyment for the community.

Swiss-Belhotel International will be looking for similar investment and management opportunities elsewhere in New Zealand. The company is already in negotiation with investors regarding hotel operations in Auckland and other parts of New Zealand.
